Oak framing exemplifies my love of building. Before I studied building and civil engineering I completed a traditional apprenticeship with a well-known traditional North Norfolk building company.

During this time I was seconded to a conservation project of a famous 14th century oak framed building. Here I was lucky enough to study and work on the ancient art of oak framing.

Oak Framing is still one of the most resilient, sustainable and practical ways of constructing. It offers a beautiful environment to live in and observe whilst providing a long lasting and durable structure that will last several generations.
